This assignment is a group assignment. Student need to form a group with 5 members Students are tasked with generating innovative strategies to optimize both daylight utilization and thermal comfort within their selected modern residential property, which may either be a double-storey corner lot or a double-storey semi-detached house. This case study involves conducting fieldwork comprising data collection, observation, and proposing enhancements to the existing conditions of daylight dispersion and thermal comfort.
OUTCOME
Methods aimed at fostering the effective implementation of environmental design principles and sustainable building practices, whether locally or globally, encompass a range of strategies.
REFLECTION
Through this assignment I have learnt that assessing the light and thermal comfort of a home is a multifaceted endeavour that reveals the intricate interplay between building design, environmental factors and occupant comfort. In addition, I have learnt that the coordinates, orientation and design of a house affects the thermal comfort of the house and how natural light penetrates into the structure.

Effective communication plays an important role in a team assignment.
