REFLECTION
Engaging in the drawing project for the Farnsworth House was a hands-on exploration of architectural representation. The project encompassed the manual creation of two-dimensional and three-dimensional drawings, utilizing techniques like orthographic projection and axonometry. This experience deepened my understanding of Mies van der Rohe's design principles. Emphasizing architectural conventions, symbols, and line quality, the task enhanced my awareness of the precision in architectural craftsmanship and the nuanced distinctions in design. In conclusion, this project enriched my comprehension of the timeless legacy of this iconic building and improved my proficiency in drawing.
COMMUNICATION SKILL
This assignment sharpened my communication skills in architecture, focusing on the impact of drawings and line weight. Creating orthographic drawings highlighted the crucial role of precise lines, while mastering line weight added clarity and visual hierarchy. It was a concise but impactful lesson in the communicative power of architectural graphics.
