ARCHITECTURE DESIGN IV
ABOUT
This module focuses on developing environmentally and socially responsive architecture. Under the theme "Engaging with Environment and Community," this module challenges students to design based on a deep understanding of the natural environment—such as sunlight, wind, climate, and topography—while addressing the specific needs of a particular community. The course emphasizes creating poetic architectural responses that integrate passive design strategies, material sensitivity, and spatial complexity. Through precedent research, environmental analysis, and community engagement, students are encouraged to create sustainable, contextually responsive designs that make meaningful contributions to people and communities.
