BUILDING CONSTRUCTION AND MATERIALS

This module is designed to teach students the basics of building construction and the materials used in small to medium-sized projects. It focuses on the key elements of building, covering both the substructure and superstructure, and introduces common construction materials such as concrete, masonry, timber, metal, and glass. The module will explore each material's manufacturing process, properties, and typical uses in construction. To help students achieve the learning goals, the module includes continuous assessments through assignments and tutorial activities.
