REFLECTION
This project has been an insightful journey of research, creativity, and collaboration, allowing me to explore the essence of place through architecture while deepening my understanding of Malacca’s rich cultural and historical layers. Task A, The Site Chronicle, offered an opportunity to uncover the cultural, historical, and environmental dimensions of the city through visual storytelling, highlighting the intricate relationship between architecture and its context. Furthermore, by engaging with the Kristang, Baba Nyonya, and Chetti communities, I gained a deeper appreciation for their unique histories and cultures. In Task B, The Visceral, we were challenged to translate these insights into an intuitive and sensory response, capturing the Genius Loci and poetic essence of the site. By incorporating the historical stories of the Kristang community into our work, we not only honored their heritage but also introduced this vibrant culture to a broader audience. Through fieldwork, community engagement, and collaborative effort, this project enriched my understanding of the layers of meaning that shape a place and its architecture.

LIFELONG LERANING
INTERPERSONAL SKILL

Through this project, I developed the ability to learn independently by conducting research and fieldwork. I also enhanced my skills in locating, synthesizing, and effectively utilizing information from diverse sources, such as historical records, community engagement, and environmental analysis.
Working on this project taught me the importance of teamwork and understanding team dynamics. Collaborating with peers across different groups helped me build interpersonal skills
